Srinagar, May 19: The Jammu & Kashmir Government on Monday ordered a reshuffle in the civil administration, effecting transfers and postings in the Finance, Information Technology, Industries and Commerce, and Forest departments.
According to Government Order No. 938-JK(GAD) of 2026 issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), Anil Banka, IAS (AGMUT: 2015), Special Secretary to the Government in the Finance Department, has been transferred and posted as Director, Industries and Commerce, Kashmir. Khalid Majeed, JKAS, who was holding the post, has been directed to await further orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department.
Mahima Madan, IAS (AGMUT: 2021), Additional Secretary in the Information Technology Department and also holding additional charge as Chief Executive Officer, JaKeGA and Director, Defence Labour Procurement, J&K, has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kathua. Vishavjeet Singh, JKAS, has been relieved from the post and asked to await further adjustment orders in the GAD.
The government has also posted Asha Choudhary Malhotra, IAS (AGMUT: 2022), as Chief Executive Officer, JaKeGA. She will additionally hold the charge of Director, Defence Labour Procurement, J&K, till further orders.
In another transfer, Mohd. Raiyaz, JKAS, Deputy Secretary in the Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment, has been transferred and posted as Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Karnah-Tangdhar, against an available vacancy.
The order was issued by Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, M. Raju, IAS, by order of the Lieutenant Governor.
