Gold Prices Decline Further in India; both 24-Carat and 22-Carat Fall Today

Ziraat Times Team Report

New Delhi: Gold prices in India witnessed a modest decline today, with both 24-carat and 22-carat rates slipping compared to the previous day, according to the latest market data.

The price of 24-carat gold stood at ₹1,47,280 per 10 grams, down from ₹1,48,090 per 10 grams recorded yesterday. This marks a drop of ₹810 in a single day.

Similarly, 22-carat gold prices also dropped. The rate was recorded at ₹1,35,000 per 10 grams, compared to ₹1,35,750 per 10 grams in the previous session, reflecting a decline of ₹750.

Market observers say gold prices tend to fluctuate daily due to multiple factors, including international bullion trends, currency movements  and domestic demand in jewellery markets. Changes in global economic conditions and investor sentiment also influence the precious metal’s value.

Despite the slight fall in prices today, gold continues to remain a key investment and savings asset for households across J&K, particularly ahead of wedding seasons and festive demand when purchases typically increase.
