New Delhi, Dec 18: The Government of India on Wednesday unveiled a common logo for all Regional Rural Banks (RRBs), marking a major step towards creating a single and unified brand identity for institutions serving rural and semi-urban India.

The initiative, titled “One RRB, One Logo”, has been undertaken by the Department of Financial Services under the Ministry of Finance in collaboration with National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). It follows the recent consolidation of RRBs on the principle of “One State, One RRB”.

With effect from May 1, 2025, 26 Regional Rural Banks across 11 States and Union Territories were amalgamated, a reform aimed at building stronger, more efficient and financially resilient RRBs. Currently, 28 RRBs operate across the country, serving rural communities through a network of more than 22,000 branches in over 700 districts.

Officials said the unveiling of a common logo after the amalgamation drive is intended to strengthen the identity, visibility and recall of RRBs nationwide, while reinforcing their shared mission of financial inclusion and rural development.

The newly introduced logo reflects core values associated with RRBs. An upward arrow symbolises progress, growth and advancement in rural economies, while hands represent nurturing, care and support for rural communities. A central flame signifies enlightenment, warmth and empowerment through access to financial services.

The colour scheme has also been chosen to reflect the objectives of RRBs, with dark blue denoting trust and financial stability, and green symbolising life, growth and prosperity in rural areas.

The government said the common branding initiative is expected to give RRBs a modern and easily recognisable identity, underscoring their collective commitment to inclusive banking and the economic development of rural India.
