Govt Orders Transfers, Adjustment Of 134 Patwaris

Ziraat Times News Desk

Jammu, 13 Dec: The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, on Friday issued Order No. 181-DCJ (Adm)/2025 transferring and adjusting 134 patwaris across the district with immediate effect, saying the moves were made “in the interest of administration.”

The order, signed by the Deputy Commissioner Jammu, lists reassignments and additional charges for patwaris posted to various tehsils and patwari offices across the district. The transfers cover a range of duties including new postings, charge adjustments and deputations to vacant posts.

Officials said the reshuffle aims to streamline field-level revenue administration and ensure adequate manpower at tehsil and village levels. A number of transfers involve postings to key tehsils in and around Jammu city as well as rural areas.

Notable postings cited in the order include:

  • Anjali Malhotra moved from the DC office to Office Patwari, Tehsil Marh (against Chahat Ismaili).

  • Jasmeet Singh Bali assigned partly to P/H Mandal, Tehsil Jammu West.

  • Upasana Kumari posted as Office Patwari, Tehsil Jammu North against a vacant post.

  • Rukhsana Akhtar shifted to Office Patwari Tehsil Bahu (vice Chahat Ismaili—deployed).

  • Several patwaris received additional charges for nearby patwari halqas such as Dansal, Akhnoor, Marh and Bishnah.

The order indicates that enumerated staff — including enumerators, supervisors and charge officers listed in the roster — will be paid appropriate honoraria or allowances where applicable, and that local administrations will make arrangements for handover and continuity of revenue records.

A full order of the transferred patwaris and their new postings is part of the official order and is available at the Deputy Commissioner’s office. District revenue officials have been directed to ensure a smooth transition and immediate assumption of duties by the transferred personnel.
