New Delhi, December 15:
The Government has issued an advisory to intending Haj pilgrims, urging them to complete their bookings through authorised Haj Group Organisers (HGOs) or Private Tour Operators (PTOs) well in advance, in view of the timelines set by the Ministry of Hajj & Umrah for Haj 2026 preparations.

According to the advisory released by the Press Information Bureau, the last date for finalising mandatory housing and service contracts for Haj 2026 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is February 1, 2026. These contracts are essential to ensure accommodation, transportation and other logistical arrangements for pilgrims during the pilgrimage.

The government noted that several preparatory steps must be completed by HGOs and PTOs within the prescribed timelines. In this context, pilgrims planning to perform Haj through private operators have been strongly advised to secure their bookings early to facilitate timely completion of procedural requirements, including finalisation of accommodation and transport contracts.

To avoid last-minute inconveniences and ensure compliance with all mandatory processes, pilgrims have been advised to complete their booking formalities on or before January 15, 2026.

The advisory also cautions pilgrims to verify the registration status, quota and official approval of the concerned HGO or PTO before making any bookings. Pilgrims have been urged to book only through authorised operators to safeguard their interests and ensure a smooth Haj experience.

The government said adherence to the timelines would help ensure orderly arrangements and seamless coordination for Haj 2026.
