Jammu, Nov 15: The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Jammu has expressed profound grief over the tragic explosion at Nowgam Police Station that claimed nine lives, including police personnel and revenue officials, and left several others injured.
In a statement to Ziraat Times, ICC Jammu Chairman Rahul Sahai said the devastating loss of human lives has cast a deep shadow across Jammu and Kashmir. “The business fraternity stands united in grief. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones and pray for strength for them to bear this irreparable loss. We also pray for the swift recovery of all those injured,” he said.
Sahai assured full support to the administration, expressing confidence that Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, known for his compassionate and decisive leadership, would ensure adequate compensation and necessary assistance to the affected families.
He noted that while some residential and commercial properties have suffered damage, the most irreparable tragedy remains the loss of human lives—“a void that no material recovery can ever fill.”
The ICC Jammu & Kashmir said it stands in complete solidarity with the bereaved families and the administration as the region copes with the aftermath of the grievous incident.
