Awami Ittihadi Party condemns Red Fort incident

SRINAGAR: The Awami Ittihadi Party (AIP) has issued a strong condemnation of the heinous attack at Delhi’s Red Fort on November 10, terming it “a direct assault on India’s sovereignty, heritage, and unity.”

In a statement released today, Sheikh Ashiq, State Secretary of the AIP, expressed profound sorrow over the tragic loss of lives and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured and lauded the security forces for their prompt and courageous response in containing the situation.

“The Red Fort represents the indomitable spirit and resilience of our nation,” Mr. Ashiq said. “Any attempt to desecrate its sanctity or disturb public peace is an affront to the collective conscience of the people of India.” He urged the authorities to conduct a thorough, transparent, and time-bound investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Reaffirming the party’s unwavering support for India’s law enforcement and security institutions, the AIP emphasized the need for collective vigilance to protect the nation’s democratic and cultural heritage.

At this critical time, the party called upon citizens across the country to remain calm and united, reject all forms of violence, and uphold the principles of peace, harmony, and mutual respect that form the foundation of India’s democratic spirit.

The AIP reiterated that acts of terror can never weaken the resolve of peace-loving citizens who stand together in defense of the nation’s unity and integrity.
