Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday informed that over 24,500 General Provident (G.P.) Fund cases are currently pending disbursement across the Union Territory.
In a written reply to an un-starred Assembly question tabled by MLA Javid Hassan Baig, the Finance Department stated that as of October 10, 2025, a total of 24,579 GP Fund cases remain pending for disbursement in J&K.
The department further clarified that payments are being made as per the availability of resources.
The reply was signed by the Minister Incharge Finance and countersigned by the Under Secretary to the Government, Finance Department. —(KNO)
