Ziraat Times News Desk

Jammu/Srinagar – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has successfully secured a crucial seat in the ongoing Rajya Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir, with the party’s J&K President, Satpal Sharma, emerging victorious.

Sources told Ziraat Times, Sharma clinched the seat by securing 32 votes, comfortably defeating his primary opponent, Imran Nabi Dar of the National Conference (NC), who managed to poll 22 votes.

The contest for this specific seat was a direct face-off between the BJP and the NC. Sharma’s success comes despite the National Conference having previously secured two other seats in the same cycle, underscoring the tight political maneuvering taking place in the UT’s electoral politics.
