Srinagar: J&K Bank on Monday paid tributes to Maharaja Hari Singh on his birth anniversary, recalling his ‘contributions towards education, social reforms and economic empowerment in Jammu & Kashmir.’
In a statement, the Bank described the last Dogra ruler as a visionary leader whose progressive policies left an indelible imprint on the region’s history. “From promoting modern education to laying foundations of economic institutions, Maharaja Hari Singh’s reign shaped a new path for Jammu & Kashmir’s development,” the statement noted.
