Srinagar: The leadership of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Kashmir (PHDCCI) on Friday held a strategic meeting with Ms. T M Sreelatha (IPoS), Chief Postmaster General of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh Circle, to explore ways of strengthening collaboration between India Post and the business community of the region.
The delegation, led by PHDCCI Kashmir Chairman A P Vicky Shaw and accompanied by Deputy Director Iqbal Fayaz Jan, met Ms. Sreelatha at her Srinagar office and discussed avenues for leveraging India Post’s modernized services to support local businesses.
Mr. Shaw briefed the Chief Postmaster General about the Chamber’s wide-ranging initiatives across the country and underlined PHDCCI’s focus on fostering economic growth in J&K. He highlighted how businesses and members of the Chamber in Kashmir rely on India Post’s extensive network and services for logistics and communication needs.
Ms. Sreelatha, while appreciating the work of PHDCCI, shared details of various customer-centric schemes and specialized facilities developed by India Post for the business community. She said India Post is undergoing a significant transformation through advanced IT interventions and a modern postal technology platform, aimed at positioning it as a global logistics force aligned with the requirements of a digital economy.
The discussions concluded with a collaborative spirit, with PHDCCI extending a formal invitation to Ms. Sreelatha to address its upcoming SHE Forum. The Chamber said her participation would provide women entrepreneurs and business leaders in the region valuable insights into the emerging opportunities in logistics, digital services, and the evolving role of India Post in empowering women’s workforce participation.
