Srinagar: The Ministry of Minority Affairs has finalized the allocation of Haj 2026 quotas among Haj Group Organisers (HGOs) across India, with 14 private operators from Jammu & Kashmir qualifying for the pilgrimage season.
As per the order issued on August 25, 2025, the quota distribution follows the policy decided during the Haj Review Meeting chaired by the Union Minister for Minority Affairs. India’s Haj quota for 2026 has been assumed to remain the same as 2025, pending official confirmation from Saudi Arabia. The quota between the Haj Committee of India (HCoI) and private operators has been divided in a 70:30 ratio.
In J&K, the private Haj quota totals 664 seats, with one company qualifying in Category I, nine companies in Category II (Experienced), and four in Category II (New Applicants).
