Srinagar: In a major push to diversify and revamp tourism infrastructure across lesser-known destinations, the Jammu & Kashmir Government has constituted a high-level Steering Committee for the implementation of SPREAD — Sustainable Promotion and Revamping of Emerging Alternate Destinations, official sources told Ziraat Times
The Chief Secretary of Jammu & Kashmir will chair the committee, which includes Administrative Secretaries from 12 key departments. Members of the Steering Committee are:

The initiative aims to promote eco-sensitive and culturally rich alternate destinations across the Union Territory, particularly in underdeveloped regions.
Terms of Reference:
As per the order, the committee is tasked to:

Provide strategic direction and ensure inter-departmental coordination for SPREAD.

Facilitate high-level policy approvals, resource allocation, and problem-solving.

Oversee the smooth execution of the initiative.
