Doda: At least 6 people have been reported to have died, and 17 others injured, after a tempo traveller mini bus, carrying over 20 passengers skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in Ponda area along Doda-Barath road on Tuesday.
Official sources said that several passengers died on the spot, while many others sustained critical injuries.
“Rescue operation is underway, and the exact number of casualties is yet to be ascertained,” sources said.
The injured passengers have been shifted to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
