Srinagar Admin establishes 24×7 Joint Control Room; leave restrictions introduced for govt employees

SRINAGAR: In view of the prevailing situation, authorities in Jammu &  Kashmir have taken significant administrative measures to ensure preparedness and public safety.

The District Magistrate of Srinagar has announced the establishment of a 24×7 Joint Control Room at the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC), DC Office Srinagar. The control room will function round-the-clock to coordinate interdepartmental responses, monitor developments, and address public concerns in real time. It will also serve as a grievance redressal platform for civilians during emergencies.

In a parallel move, the General Administration Department (GAD) has issued strict instructions to all Administrative Secretaries and Department Heads across Jammu and Kashmir not to sanction any kind of leave to government employees unless under exceptional circumstances.
