Srinagar: Chairman A P Vicky Shaw today commended the first budget presented by the elected Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, describing it as a comprehensive and inclusive roadmap that addresses every sector within the available resources.

4. Streamlining Incentives: The government will streamline SGST reimbursement and turnover incentives.
5. Waste Management: A bio-remediation project will be initiated for waste management in Achan, Srinagar, addressing environmental concerns.
6. Wool Processing: The Industries Department will introduce advanced wool processing technologies, provide training to entrepreneurs, and frame a policy to attract private and corporate investments in wool processing mills.
7. Homestay Development: A comprehensive policy will be introduced for the development of homestays across districts, converging with schemes like PMEGP and PM Surya Ghar Yojana.
8. Financial Assistance for Cooperatives: Financial assistance will be provided to 2,000 handicraft and handloom cooperatives, boosting the traditional industries of J&K.

“This budget is a testament to the government’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable development. It reflects the aspirations of the people and provides a clear roadmap for the region’s progress,” said Chairman Vicky Shaw.
The Chairman also urged all stakeholders to work collaboratively to ensure the successful implementation of these initiatives, emphasizing that collective efforts are essential to achieving the vision of a prosperous Jammu & Kashmir.
