Environmental Policy Group elects new office bearers, Faiz Bakshi re-elected convenor 

Srinagar, Jan 22: The Environmental Policy Group (EPG), a registered non-profit trust dedicated to environmental conservation, has successfully conducted elections for its office bearers and committee chairpersons for the two-year term from December 2024 to December 2026.

The elections were held in accordance with EPG’s Byelaws and Trust Deed, with Senior Governing Council Members, Er. Ajaz Rasool and Mohammad Shafi, officiating as Election Commissioners. The election process formally commenced with the notification issued on December 13, 2025.

Unanimously Elected Office Bearers and Committee Chairpersons:

  1. Faiz Ahmad Bakshi – Convenor

  2. Dr. M.M. Shuja – Co-Convenor

  3. Advocate Shafqat Nazir – Chairman, Legal Committee

  4. Er. Ajaz Rasool – Chairman, Media Committee

  5. Javed Ahmad Shah – Chairman, Finance Committee

  6. Advocate Nadeem Qadri – Trustee/Governing Council Member

  7. Mohammad Shafi Bachha – Trustee/Governing Council Member

  8. Mauzam Bakshi – Trustee/Governing Council Member

  9. Peerzada Fayaz Ahmad – Trustee/Governing Council Member

  10. Dr. Tauseef Ahmad Bhat – Trustee/Governing Council Member

  11. Advocate Shabbir Ahmad Bhat – Trustee/Governing Council Member
