KTMF, various traders’ committees discuss power outages, traffic snarls challenges

Srinagar: Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) convened a meeting Wednesday  which was presided over by its President Mohammad Yaseen Khan. The meeting focused on several pressing civic issues impacting the business community and the general public, including frequent electricity outages, persistent traffic snarls and the lack of designated parking slots across the city.

In a statement issued here, it said the meeting witnessed the participation of prominent Traders Associations from different parts of Srinagar, with their respective presidents presenting valuable inputs and concerns. During the meeting the Traders Association Lal Chowk was lauded for its relentless efforts in facilitating the long-awaited shifting of the Sub-Registrar Offices to the Old Court premises in Lal Chowk. This move has been a landmark step towards easing congestion and streamlining administrative services for the traders of the area. Special commendations were extended to Manzoor Ahmad Mir and Ajaz Makhdoomi for being elected as Presidents of Regal Chowk Traders Welfare Association and President Kanimazar Traders Association Nawakadal respectively.

Mohammad Yaseen Khan emphasized the need for collective efforts to address these civic concerns effectively. Khan reiterated that the KTMF would continue to advocate with the concerned authorities to ensure that these issues are resolved in a timely manner. The meeting concluded with a resolution to strengthen coordination between Traders Associations and intensify efforts to improve the overall business environment in Srinagar. The participants expressed optimism about efforts yielding tangible results for the betterment of the traders and the general public.
