Rahul Sahai meets LG Sinha; discusses  trade and industry initiatives

Jammu, Nov 5: Rahul Sahai, Chairman of STAIRS and the Transport Nagar Association, and former Chair of the CII and PHDCCI Jammu, met with the  Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, at Raj Bhawan in Jammu. The meeting focused on strengthening the business environment, accelerating economic growth, and fostering industrial development across the Union Territory, a press statement issued to Ziraat Times said.

During the discussion, Sahai provided an overview of the current state of trade and industry in Jammu and presented key recommendations to support a robust business ecosystem in the region. Known for his strategic vision and commitment to advancing industry, Sahai has been a dedicated advocate for creating an enabling environment for businesses in Jammu & Kashmir.

The dialogue with the Lieutenant Governor covered critical areas, including infrastructure development, policy reforms, ease of doing business, and strategies to attract investment into Jammu & Kashmir. Sahai highlighted the urgent need for extending the NCSS package with a dedicated budget for local industries, addressing the unique challenges they face, and enhancing their competitiveness.

Key topics of discussion included the need for stronger industry support mechanisms, improved access to credit for MSMEs, and enhanced transport and logistics infrastructure—all essential for driving sustainable economic growth. Sahai also emphasized the importance of incentivizing investment in Jammu & Kashmir and proposed measures to foster a more industry-friendly environment aligned with the region’s unique potential.

The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor expressed his appreciation for Sahai’s insights and his commitment to the development of Jammu’s trade and industry.
