
Srinagar: A delegation from the PHDCCI Kashmir, led by Chairman Vicky Shaw, along with Co-chair Himayu Wani and Deputy Director Iqbal Fayaz Jan, held a productive meeting with Dr. Syed Abid Rashid Shah (IAS), Secretary to the Government of Jammu & Kashmir for Health and Medical Education. The meeting also saw the presence of Sh. Nazim Zia Khan (IAS), Mission Director of the National Health Mission, J&K.
The discussions centered around the resolution of pending hospital claims under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Dr. Shah informed the delegation that liabilities amounting to approximately ₹81 crore had already been cleared. He assured that the remaining pending claims would likely be resolved by the end of December, subject to the availability of funds, a statement issued to Ziraat Times said.
The PHDCCI delegation expressed satisfaction with the government’s commitment to improving public healthcare services. They highlighted the importance of fostering public-private partnerships and emphasized the urgent need to enhance human resource capacity in hospitals for better service, the statement added.
