
Srinagar: In a significant election held at the New Fruit Marketing Complex in Parimpora, Srinagar, Bashir Ahmad Basheer has been re-elected as the President of the New Kashmir Fruit Association for the 8th consecutive term. Officials told Ziraat Times that the election saw a turnout of 97%, with voters showing strong support for the leadership.
Alongside Bashir Ahmad Basheer, Anil Kumar was elected as the Vice-President, while Mohammad Ayoub Bhat secured the position of General Secretary. Abdul Majeed Reshi was chosen as the Joint Secretary.

Other key roles include Ashfaq Ahmad Jall as Member Accountant, Mohammad Shahid Chowdhery as Chairman of Trade Settlement, and Ali Mohammad Reshi as Chairman of the Transport Committee.
The re-elected officials have pledged to continue their work on enhancing market access and addressing logistical challenges faced by growers across the region.
