Minister visits PHDCCI Srinagar office; discusses key business issues with members

Srinagar: J&K’s Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Youth Services & Sports, Satish Sharma, today had an interactive meeting with key members of the PHDCCI Kashmir chapter, hosted at the PHDCCI House in Rajbagh, Srinagar. Chairman of PHDCCI Kashmir, A.P. Vicky Shaw, along with Arshad Nizam Shawl, Chairman of the Sports & Entertainment Committee at PHDCCI New Delhi, and Executive Committee members, led the discussions with the Minister on a range of critical issues impacting Jammu & Kashmir’s business and development landscape, a press statement issued to Ziraat Times said.

The meeting focused on significant areas, including Information Technology, Sports, and various industries essential for J&K’s growth. The Chairman provided an overview of the challenges facing trade and business across the region, emphasizing the need for focused support and strategic initiatives to foster development.

Executive Committee members, including Arshad Shawl, Himayoun Wani, Madina Mir, Er. Pervaiz Kaiser, Bilal Kawoosa, Shabir Abdullah, Shahid Khan, and CA Anil Sharma, contributed valuable insights, recommending measures to drive employment generation in Jammu & Kashmir.

The Minister engaged attentively, fostering an atmosphere of collaboration and mutual respect, PHDCCI press statement said.

In response, the Minister reassured PHDCCI members of the government’s commitment to enhancing living standards in Jammu & Kashmir. He outlined plans to prioritize the region’s resources and facilities to benefit its residents, underscoring the government’s dedication to sustainable, community-focused development. The  Minister highlighted the importance of aligning development initiatives with local needs to promote impactful growth, with a focus on effectively utilizing regional resources, PHDCCI further said.

PHDCCI Kashmir expressed its appreciation for the Minister’s proactive approach and open dialogue, reflecting the government’s earnest efforts to build a prosperous and inclusive future for Jammu & Kashmir.
