Major reshuffle announced in J&K Police

Srinagar: In a significant reshuffle, the Jammu &  Kashmir Government has issued transfer and posting orders for numerous senior police officers across the union territory. The order, issued by the Home Department, involves  key positions within the Jammu and Kashmir Police force. This move is aimed at strengthening administration and enhancing police efficiency, the order said.

The following transfers have been made with immediate effect:

  1. Sandeep Wazir, IPS – Transferred from SSP, ACB to AIG Personnel, PHQ.
  2. Gurinderpal Singh, IPS – From Director of Police Telecommunication to SSP Baramulla.
  3. Rajesh Kumar Sharma, IPS – Awaiting posting, now posted as SSP Security Jammu.
  4. Mumtaz Ahmad, IPS – From SSP Poonch to Commandant, IRP 12.
  5. Mohd. Aslam, IPS – From SSP Doda to Commandant, IRP 24.
  6. Bisma Qazi, IPS – Awaiting posting, assigned as SP City East Srinagar.
  7. Raghav S, IPS – From Addl. SP Budgam to SSP Ganderbal.
  8. Gaurav Sikarwar, IPS – From SSP Reasi to SSP Rajouri.
  9. Mohd. Arshad – From Commandant, IRP 13 to SSP CI CID Jammu.
  10. Randeep Kumar – From SSP Rajouri to SSP Security HQ, J&K.
  11. Wasim Qadri – From SSP Ganderbal to SSP Railways Kashmir.
  12. Virender Singh Manhas – From AIG Personnel PHQ to SSP Samba.
  13. Sandeep Kumar Mehta – From SSP SCW Jammu to SSP Doda.
  14. Amit Gupta – From SO to DGP J&K to SO to ADGP CID, J&K.
  15. Jayid Iqbal – Awaiting posting, now posted as SSP Kishtwar.
  16. Mohd. Zaid – From SSP Baramulla to Commandant, JKAP 13.
  17. Girdhari Lal – From SO to ADGP CID to SSP Traffic Rural Jammu.
  18. Vinay Kumar – From SSP Traffic Rural Jammu to SO to IGP Railways.
  19. Abdul Qayoom – From SSP Kishtwar to Commandant, IRP 2.
  20. Shafqat Hussain – From AIG (CT&I) PHQ to SSP Poonch.
  21. Paramvir Singh – From Additional Secretary, Road Safety Council, J&K to SSP Reasi.
  22. Vinay Kumar – From SSP Samba to AIG Procurement PHQ.
  23. Syed Al Tahir Gilani – From AIG (Procurement) PHQ to SO to DGP J&K.
  24. Naresh Singh Jamwal – From Dy. CO IRP 13 to Commandant, IRP 13.
  25. Sajad Ahmad Shah – From Dy. CO IRP 11 to SSP PD Awantipora.
  26. Suresh Kumar – From Addl. SP SB CID, Jammu to Joint Director SSF.
  27. Ajaz Ahmed Zargar – From SSP PD Awantipora to AIG (CT&I), PHQ.
  28. Mushtaq Ahmad – From Joint Director SSF to SSP Handwara.
  29. Sanjay Kumar Parihar – From SSP CI CID Jammu to SSP SCW Jammu.
  30. Mubbashir Hussain – From SP East Srinagar to Commandant, IRP 9.
  31. Ifroz Ahmad – From SSP PD Handwara to Commandant, IRP 5.
  32. Mushim Ahmad – From Addl. SP Poonch to Commandant, IRP 22.
  33. Parvez Ahmad Dar – From Dy. CO 2nd Women Bn. to Addl. SP Ganderbal.
  34. Vivek Shekhar Sharma – From Dy. CO IRP 15 to SP North, Jammu.
