JKPICCA President meets J&K Chief Secretary; discusses sector’s critical issues 

Srinagar: In his maiden meeting with Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, the newly elected President of the Jammu and Kashmir Fruits and Vegetables Processing and Integrated Cold Chain Association (JKPICCA), Bashir Ahmad Naik, discussed critical issues concerning the sector and proposed measures to strengthen the horticulture industry in Jammu and Kashmir.

Mr. Naik also submitted official documentation along with the voters list of JKPICCA’s recently held elections, which were conducted in the presence of government observers to ensure transparency and credibility. Chief Secretary Dulloo congratulated Mr. Naik and the newly elected team, expressing his best wishes for their efforts in enhancing the sector.

Mr. Naik apprised the Chief Secretary of the industry’s maturation, valued at approximately INR 4,000 crores, underscoring its critical role in the future of horticulture in Jammu and Kashmir. He expressed his commitment to further developing the industry and enhancing the value chain for farmers and stakeholders alike. JKPICCA remains steadfast in dedicated itself and creating a positive ecosystem which will enhance the productivity of horticulture by increasing the share of the sector in the economy of the state of J&K.
