JKPICCA election results declared; Bashir Ahmad Naik elected president

Srinagar: The much-awaited results for the elections for the Jammu and Kashmir Fruits and Vegetables Processing and  Integrated Cold Chain Association (JKPICCA) were declared today.

Officials told Ziraat Times that Bashir Ahmad Naik was elected as President, winning by a good  margin. Mr. Naik secured 69 votes, while his opponent, Zaffar Habib Dar, received 3 votes.

For the position of General Secretary cum Treasurer, Ishfaq Ahmad Malik emerged victorious with 60 votes, defeating Mashooq Ahmad Sheikh, who received 8 votes.

The election committee has also declared Mohammad Arif Mir as Vice President of the association.

The election proceedings were conducted in the presence of various officials and observers, including Faiz Bakshi, Secretary General of KCCI; Syed Shabbir, General Manager DIC Pulwama; and  Mukhtar Ahmad, President of the Industrial Association Lassipora, among others.

The Election Commission for this process included Irshad Ahmad, Ashaq Hussain Shangloo, and Mushtaq Ahmad Dar.
