Srinagar business groups hold community dialogue; MLA Salman Ali Sagar honoured

Srinagar, Oct 26: The Batamaloo Traders Association (BTA) welcomed Salman Ali Sagar, MLA from Hazratbal (National Conference), for a dialogue on community welfare and trader concerns in Srinagar city. According to a spokesperson of BTA, Mr. Sagar, invited by BTA President Peer Imtiyaz ul Hassan, engaged with traders and residents of Batamaloo to discuss key issues and listen to local perspectives. This was Mr. Sagar’s first trade meeting since his election, highlighting his commitment to community engagement, the  spokesperson told Ziraat Times.

The BTA President presented a document detailing pressing issues faced by traders and residents of Batamaloo, along with a report on challenges around non-performing assets (NPAs) and related privacy concerns.

The event saw participation from various trade bodies, including:

Shabir Ahmad Matjee, BTA’s Publicity Chief, anchored the event, while Mr. Shahid from the Kashmir Bakers & Confectioners Association joined BTA President Peer Imtiyaz ul Hassan in addressing concerns and discussing solutions.

The BTA President thanked Mr. Salman Sagar for his participation, and Mr. Sagar, in turn, praised BTA’s dedication and expressed his commitment to addressing the needs of traders and residents. He assured attendees that their concerns would be prioritized.
