SRINAGAR, Oct 11:
The Raj Bhawan on Friday night issued an official press communique cconfirming Omar Abdullah’s meeting with LG Sinha and staking claim for the government formation.
In the press communique received by Ziraat Times, the Raj Bhawan said – Shri Omar Abdullah, Vice President, Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) called on Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan today. He handed over a letter from the Party President Dr. Farooq Abdullah stating that Shri Omar Abdullah has been elected as Leader of the Legislature Party of JKNC. Letters of support from INC, CPI(M), AAP and independent members were also handed over to the Lieutenant Governor.
The communique did not mention the potential date for the oath ceremony or the next steps in the revocation of the central rule in J&K.
