J&K Govt appoints Nasir Aslam Wani as advisor to CM

Srinagar, Oct 16: Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday appointed senior National Conference leader Nasir Aslam Wani as advisor to chief minister Omar Abdullah.

The decision was taken hours after Omar Abdullah took oath as the first chief minister of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

As per an order, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Sanjeev Verma, Commissioner/ Secretary to the Government, said, “Nasir Aslam Wani is hereby appointed as advisor to the chief minister.

The terms and conditions of the appointment shall be notified separately.”

Pertinently, Mr Nasir had recently lost his election from Kupwara district.
