Srinagar, Sept 25: The PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industries Kashmir Chairman A P Vicky Shaw officially inaugurated the new office located at Rajbagh on Monday, accompanied by its Executive Committee members. The inauguration event coincided with an Executive Committee meeting that brought together members and special invitees for a comprehensive discussion on various economic verticals impacting the region, an official statement issued to Ziraat Times said.
During the meeting, the committee members engaged in a thorough analysis of the local business landscape and developed strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the trade and commerce sector in Kashmir. It was unanimously decided that the newly inaugurated office would serve as a vital platform for fostering growth in this sector, with a strong focus on continuous mentoring and support for local entrepreneurs, the statement added.
The office will also provide Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) facilities to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Jammu and Kashmir, further enhancing the support structure available to local businesses.
Speaking at the inauguration, the Chairman emphasized the importance of each member focusing on their respective domains to contribute effectively towards addressing the pressing challenges of unemployment and other business-related issues faced by Kashmir. He encouraged members to collaborate and devise sustainable solutions that will uplift the local economy.
