Chartered Accountants Day celebrated in Srinagar

Srinagar, July 1 – The Kashmir  Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) celebrated the 76th Chartered Accountants Day with great enthusiasm at the ICAI Srinagar Representative Office.

The event commenced with a flag hoisting ceremony, followed by a plantation drive, symbolizing growth and sustainability. In a show of social responsibility, a blood donation camp was also organized as part of the celebrations.

The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha extended warm greetings to the chartered accountants on this special occasion, recognizing their vital role in the economic landscape of the region.

A highlight of the event was the felicitation of members who qualified as Chartered Accountants from May 2020 onwards, acknowledging their achievements and welcoming them to the profession. The chapter also honored CA Fayaz Ahmad Ganai, who recently took charge as the Chief Financial Officer of The Jammu and Kashmir Bank.

CA Khateeb Yousuf, Convenor of the Kashmir CPE Chapter, delivered a warm welcome address, setting the tone for the day’s proceedings. The event concluded with a vote of thanks presented by CA Mujtaba Joo, Deputy Convenor of the Kashmir CPE Chapter.

The facilitation of the event was conducted by Mueed Latif, Officer In-charge of the Srinagar Representative Office.

This celebration not only marked 76 years of the chartered accountancy profession in India but also highlighted the significant contributions of CAs to the business and financial sectors of Jammu and Kashmir.
