Leh: Independent Haji Hanifa is leading by about 14,000 votes in early trends in Ladakh parliamentary Constituency, according to ECI data.
Haji Hanifa Jan is an Independent candidate in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Ladakh. Initially nominated jointly by the National Conference (NC) and the Congress party, he has secured significant support from the Kargil district’s Congress leaders, although the Leh unit of Congress supports a different candidate, Tsering Namgyal. Hanifa Jan has previously chaired the Kargil Hill Development Council and has been a prominent leader in the NC.
