Srinagar: J&K Bank has revised the SMS Alert charges for its charges.
According to the Service Charges Schedule General Banking (Effective: 01/05/2024) posted by the bank on its website, the revised SMS alert charges for J&K Bank customers are:
Charges for SMS sent to be levied on an actual usage basis as per the following tariff:
40 Paise+applicable GST for every successfully delivered SMS
Subject to a cap of ₹15/- +GST per month for Saving Accounts and ₹25/- +GST per month for Current/CC/OD Accounts.
However, there are some exceptions to these charges:
Customers receive 5 free SMS alerts per month.
SMS alerts for certain transactions remain free of charge, including:
Debit/ATM card transactions at ATMs/POS machines
Internet banking/mobile banking/e-commerce transactions
NEFT transactions once funds are credited to the beneficiary account
Accounts of active and retired bank staff
Student savings accounts
Employees of J&K Police, J&K Government, and Government of Ladakh.
