New Delhi: Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, has issued a travel advisory discouraging travel to Iran and Israel due to the “prevailing situation in the region”.
The advisory has also instructed Indians already in Iran or Israel to register with the Indian Embassies and to “exercise utmost precautions about their safety and restrict their movements to the minimum”.
The MEA has advised Indians to avoid these countries until the situation stabilizes
The advisory has been issued on April 12, 2024, which coincides with heightened tensions between Iran and Israel.
