Foster grower-friendly environment; we will help resolve all issues amicably: Director Horticulture to CA Store companies

Srinagar: Director Horticulture Kashmir, Z A Bhat, convened a meeting with the owners of Controlled Atmosphere (CA) stores of the Kashmir Division today at Directorate of Horticulture Kashmir Rajbagh, Srinagar. The meeting witnessed the presence of the Chief Canning Instructor, Srinagar, Nursery Registration Officer, Srinagar, and other officers of the Department, an official statement issued to Ziraat Times today said.

In a move to enhance the fruit industry’s post-harvest management, Director Horticulture highlighted the pivotal role of post-harvest infrastructure, including CA stores, processing units, and grading lines. He emphasized the necessity of these facilities in maintaining the quality and longevity of the horticultural produce, the statement added.

Mr. Bhat addressed the CA store owners, advising them to foster a grower-friendly environment and to commit to providing top-notch services to the fruit growers of the region. He underscored the importance of their collaboration in ensuring the prosperity and sustainability of the fruit industry.

Furthermore, the Director assured the CA store owners that their demands and concerns are being taken into serious consideration and that resolutions to their issues will be forthcoming.
