Kashmir Valley Fruit Growers congratulate new Director Horticulture

Srinagar: The Kashmir Valley Fruit Growers Cum Dealers Union (KVFG), an umbrella body representing fruit grower associations across the valley, expressed its gratitude to government for appointing Zahoor Ahmad Bhat as the new Director of the Horticulture Development Department, Kashmir.

The statement, signed by KVFG Chairman Bashir Ahmad Basheer, lauded Bhat’s “intelligence and honesty,” and said his appointment to the “responsible position” would yield “fruitful results” for the horticulture sector.

Bhat’s prior experience as Joint Director is seen as a positive indicator for his ability to lead the department. The KVFG is hopeful that Bhat will leverage “speedy developments” and “technological advancements” to propel the horticulture sector forward during his tenure.

The appointment comes at a crucial time for the Kashmir Valley’s fruit industry, and Bhat is expected to play a key role in its continued growth and development, the association said.
