J&K Hoteliers’ Club and CCIK extol PM’s railwayline initiative, anticipate economic boost

Srinagar Feb 20: The Jammu and Kashmir Hoteliers Club (JKHC) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir (CCIK) have extended their appreciation to the Prime Minister  Narendra Modi for inaugurating a new railway line in Jammu & Kashmir.

This significant infrastructure addition is poised to catalyze economic growth in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly within the tourism sector, the two business chambers said in a statement to Ziraat Times.

“The newly-opened railway line promises to revolutionize connectivity in the region, ensuring all-season tourism and facilitating seamless travel for both locals and visitors. Mushtaq Ahmed Chaya, Chairman of the JKHC, expressed profound gratitude to the Prime Minister for what he termed as a remarkable gift to the people of Jammu and Kashmir”, the statement added.

“This railway line is a game-changer for our tourism industry,” remarked Mr. Chaya. “It will not only enhance accessibility but also open up new opportunities for growth and development”, he added.

Meanwhile, Tariq Ghani, President of CCIK, echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the historical significance of this moment for the people of Kashmir. “This railway connectivity is a lifeline for the common man and students who have long endured the challenges posed by inadequate road connectivity,” stated Mr. Ghani.

The JKHC reiterated the sentiments of gratitude, stating that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are both humbled and honored by the realization of rail connectivity with other parts of the country. This development is expected to address longstanding infrastructural gaps, further integrating the region into the national economy.
