JKMEGA applauds S. Kumar’s PWD reforms, welcomes new Secretary

Srinagar:  The Jammu & Kashmir Mechanical Engineering Graduates Association (JKMEGA) Executive Council met today to commend the “remarkable and historical reforms” implemented by former Principal Secretary of PWD (R&B) & Mechanical Engineering, Shalindera Kumar (IAS). They also welcomed the newly appointed secretary, Bhupinder Kumar (IAS), while raising a few  concerns regarding the recent department reorganization.

JKMEGA president Er Firdous Ahmed Bhat said the association lauded Mr Kumar’s efforts to end adhocism and in-charge promotions, implement online services for transparency, and restructure PWD. They believe these were “golden reforms” benefiting the department and public.

The Association welcomed Bhupinder Kumar and expressed hope for continued progress under his leadership.

JKMEGA highlighted some minor concerns with the recent PWD reorganization and urged the administration to address them for optimal efficiency.

JKMEGA expressed commitment to working with the administration to improve the engineering sector in J&K.
