JK Cold Storages Association meets Chief Secretary; discusses sector’s issues

Jammu, 12 Jan: A delegation from the Jammu and Kashmir Cold Chain Association (JKPICCA), led by President Ejaz Qureshi, held a crucial meeting with the Chief Secretary at the Civil Secretariat in Jammu today. Other  members of the Cold Chain Association were also present during this significant encounter, according to a statement issued to Ziraat Times.

 

The primary focus of the meeting was to address pressing issues related to the ease of doing business and the formulation of government-friendly policies that would contribute to the expansion of cold storage capacities for farmers, the statement added.

The delegation engaged in discussions, emphasizing the importance of fostering an environment conducive to agricultural growth and sustainability.

President Ejaz Qureshi expressed optimism about the collaborative efforts between the JKPICCA and the government, envisioning a future where enhanced storage capacities would empower farmers and contribute to the overall development of the agricultural sector in the region.

The JKPICCA remains committed to advocating for the interests of its members and the broader agricultural community, working hand-in-hand with the government to create policies that propel the cold chain infrastructure forward, the statement said.
