Date:

Srinagar, Dec 9: Authorities in Jammu and Kashmir have said that it has identified land for development of solar projects which will effectively generate power to the extent of ‘750 MW’.

According to the official documents, J&K has already identified land for development of solar projects which will effectively generate power to the extent of 750 MW, requiring an investment of around Rs 4,000 Cr.

“In addition, the potential for setting up floating solar projects is yet to be assessed,” the official document reads.

The official documents further says that “in view of the huge unexploited potential to develop generation projects through renewable resources, J&K, in the coming years, shall become a hub of investment opportunities for the developers and private players in the generation sector.”
