Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) factions merge; pledge to work for welfare of business community

 

Srinagar, 23 Oct: In a new development in Kashmir’s trade and commerce sector, the two main factions of Kashmir Traders & Manufactures Federation (KTMF) have merged ‘to work together for the betterment of trade community.’

The merger was announced here in presence of scores of members from both the factions. The Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) faction led by Mohammad Yaseen Khan and KTMF led by Bashir Ahme Rather announced they have joined hands to work together for the betterment of traders. “The collaboration between these two prominent entities is a testament to their commitment to the growth and prosperity of the trading community in Kashmir”, the Federation said in a media statement adding that the KTMF has a long standing history of advocating for the rights and interests of traders and this partnership seeks to further amplify their efforts.

Bashir Ahmed Rather, who heads KTMF expressed his enthusiasm for this collaboration stating, “We believe that by working together with KTMF acting President Mohammad Yaseen Khan we can leverage our collective strengths and resources to address the challenges and opportunities facing traders in our region. Our united efforts will undoubtedly bring about positive change.”

“I have formally merged with KTMF along with my members and decided to step down as president and now onwards will work together under presidentship of Mohammad Yaseen Khan till elections are held,” Rather said.

On the occasion Khan said they were optimistic about the unification and we believe this collaboration is a significant step towards achieving our shared goals of promoting a favorable trading environment, facilitating access to resources, and advocating for the rights of traders. “We look forward to a productive working atmosphere collectively. As part of our cooperative efforts KTMF is planning to meet Honourable LG Manoj Sinha for discussing policies that benefit the local trading community”, he said. The partnership aims to empower traders, foster growth, and strengthen the economic landscape in Valley, he added.

Many prominent business leaders who were present during the meeting include Zahoor Ahmad Shah of Aftab Market Lal Chowk, Javaid Ah Zargar President Jamia Market Traders Association, Din Mohd Mattoo Ex President Lal Chowk Traders, Ab Majeed Bhat President Red Cross Traders Maisuma, Mohd Abdullah Shah President Nai Sadak, Lateef Ah Sofi President Gousia Market Association Khanyar, Fayaz Ahmad Bhat President Bagh e Mehtab Traders , Ab Majeed Khan President Safa Kadal Traders , Nisar Ahmed Shahdar General Secretary Maisuma Traders Association, Rafiq Ah Zargar President Al Quds Market Hari Singh High Street, Abdul Rouf Malik, Mehrajudin Khan President Natipora along with other members of both the factions.
