Srinagar, Aug 23: The School Van Drivers Association on Wednesday held a protest over alleged overcharging of parking here in Srinagar.

The aggrieved protesters, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), gathered at Srinagar’s multi-level car parking at Press Enclave, and raised slogans and demanded justice.

“Initially, we used to pay Rs 1000 as monthly parking fees at Srinagar’s multi-level parking. After some time, the charges have risen to Rs 1500, and now we are being asked to pay Rs 2000 as parking charges for a month,” said the protesting van drivers.

“We are now requesting the authorities to kindly review the charges, as we are not able to afford such a hefty fee,” added the van drivers.
