Free from political ties, devoted to empower the Old City: Greater Srinagar Leadership

Srinagar, June 26: A spokesperson of Greater Srinagar leadership on Monday said that its members hail from humble backgrounds and work independently for betterment of the people in downtown, Old City.

Striving to empower its residents, the members of this group are in no way affiliated with any other organisation or political party as it wants to ensuring decisions are solely based on the needs and aspirations of the common people, the spokesperson said.

The spokesperson further added that Greater Srinagar comprises of dedicated individuals who are honest and passionate about serving the local populace.

“Our primary objective is to uplift and empower the people of Greater Srinagar that needs to be initiated from Shahr-e-Qadeem, the old city Recognizing that every community deserves equal opportunities for growth and prosperity, our group aims to provide a platform for dedicated youth who desire to serve the people without any greed or underlying political motives,” the spokesperson added.

He said that addressing the pressing challenges faced by the community lies at the core of Greater Srinagar’s mission.

“The Greater Srinagar members diligently focus on finding sustainable solutions to day-to-day public issues while ensuring that decisions are made solely with the community’s best interests at heart,” he remarked.

Speaking on areas of thrust, the spokesperson said that organization prioritizes improving essential aspects of life such as education, healthcare, employment, and basic amenities.

“These fundamental pillars are crucial for overall development of the citizens and Greater Srinagar shall leave no stone unturned in pursuing progress which has remained non-existent especially in the old city from last so many years. However, now the youth of Old City, New City and whole Greater Srinagar comprising of Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal will represent it’s people by keeping on public interest under its consideration,” he said.
