Srinagar, May 19: Tosamaidan Development Forum (TDF) has hailed the initiative of J&K UT Government of initiating the Great Lakes Exploring Initiative.
In a statement to Ziraat Times, TDF said that ‘Tosamaidan offered an array of possibilities for tourists, offering a place to refresh, recharge and re-awake with the power of nature.’
“Tourism has proved to be a lifeline for many communities everywhere especially in mountainous regions and can play a leading role in protecting the fragile ecosystem of Tosamaidan as well. As global tourism emerges from the cloud of the pandemic, we have a chance to rethink the sector for Tosamaidan and the benefits it can deliver”, the Forum further said.
The Tosamaidan has everything it needs to be a world-class destination, and yet the area is not capturing its share of global visitors and tourism revenues, said Sheikh Majid Secretary Tosamaidan development Forum.
“The strength of attractions and diversity of experiences that exist when one considers this area as a whole are incredible, the twelve great alpine lakes. Each day has a new alpine lake to look forward to. What makes these lakes even prettier are the snow patches that feed these lakes. You see them sliding off the serrated mountains into the lakes. Everyone must trek. It transforms lives far more than you imagine”, said Sheikh Maqbool Chief spokesperson Tosamaidan Development Fourm.
