Five leopards spotted in Brakpora, Anantnag: Locals tell Ziraat Times entire area is traumatised

Brakpora, Anatnag, May 17: Residents of Brakpora, Anantnag have expressed conern over the emergence of five leopards in the area, which, has traumatised the local residents there, especially children and women.

Speaking to Ziraat Times, the locals have requested for an early action by Wildlife Department so that the people in the area could resume their normal lives.

“The presence of these wild animals in the locality is causing concern among the residents, and immediate action is required to ensure their safety”, Basit Dar, a local resident said.

“As you may be aware, leopards are powerful predators and pose a risk to human beings. It is essential to take appropriate measures to ensure that they do not pose a danger to the people living in the area”, the residents said adding, “we  urge Wildlofe Department to take strict security measures to capture the leopards and relocate them to a safe habitat. We hope that the department will take prompt action to resolve this issue and avoid any casualties.”
