Bovine trader in Rajouri, designated as habitual offender, booked under PSA

RAJOURI, APRIL 12: District Magistrate Rajouri, Vikas Kundal has designated a bovine trader, identified as Bari Shah, as a habitual bovine smuggler, who has subsequently been detained under the Public Safety Act 1978.

The decision has been taken after the dossier was submitted by the Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri.

“Bari Shah’s bovine smuggling operation is well-organized, and despite multiple FIRs and arrests, he has continued with the illegal activities. The administration has determined that he is a serious threat to public order in the sensitive district of Rajouri”, an official statement said.

“The District Magistrate’s decision to impose the PSA on this habitual offender is a clear message that criminal activities will not be tolerated in Rajouri. The move is in line with the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards criminal activities and highlights the administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the citizens”, the statement added.

The District Magistrate has urged the public to cooperate with the administration in maintaining peace and harmony in the area. He has assured the citizens that all necessary steps will be taken to maintain law and order in the area and ensure their safety and security.

“The detention of this habitual offender is a significant step towards ensuring that Rajouri remains a peaceful and safe place for all its citizens. The administration will continue to take strong action against any individual or group who threatens public order and safety”, the statement added.
