NYK invites J&K youth to be engaged as volunteers under National Youth Corps scheme

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 23: Jammu and Kashmir Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Sangathan has invited young person, between the age of 18 to 29 years as on 1st April 2023, for engagement as national youth volunteers on honorarium basis in all districts of Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh under National Youth Corps scheme.

These young people will be deployed to channelize their energies and capabilities towards nation building by organizing them into volunteer groups. They will be entrusted with the task of organizing campaigns/awareness programmes about health, literacy, sanitation and other social issues and may also be called upon to assist the administration emergency or implementation of various programmes.
Under the scheme, at least 10th pass candidate will be eligible and no regular students are eligible for applying to NYC volunteership. The deployed volunteers will be paid an honorarium of Rs. 5000 per month. This is neither a paid employment nor confers any legal right to claim employment with the government.
