MSME schemes: PHDCCI Jammu Chapter meets Joint Director MSME Jammu

Srinagar, Dec 18: The first Executive Committee meeting of PHDCCI Jammu Chapter was held on Saturday under the chairmanship of Rahul Sahai. According to a statement issued to Ziraat Times, while welcoming the members of Executive Committee Rahul Sahai said that PHD Chamber’s theme and vision of progress, harmony & development is aligned with the aim and objective of skill development, mentoring of young entrepreneurs, start-ups in the industry, building nation’s economy and overall growth of the Industry which is the need of the hour and to facilitate the processes in order to make it competitive. 

 

Rahul Sahai Chair PHDCCI thanked National President of PHDCCI  Saket Dalmia and said that he is a young, vibrant and visionary Leader . He said that Mr Dalmia has assured  us that he will always be available for his support , guidance and cooperation for the initiatives taken by the Jammu Chapter.

In the meeting Rahul Sahai introduced New Co Chair of PHDCCI Jammu Chapter Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary Dogra Educational Trust In the meeting , three Expert Committees were also formed. The Expert Committees that were formed were MSME Committee which will be headed by Mr Anil Sharma of Anil R Sharma & Co , Information Technology ( IT ) Committee headed by Mr Arush Mahajan of Branding Elves Pvt Ltd and Law & Taxation Committee Headed by Mr Shantnu Gupta of RC Gupta & Co.

 

Chairman PHDCCI briefed the members about the activities done by PHDCCI Jammu Chapter in 2021-22 and also shared the list of activities planned by PHDCCI Jammu Chapter for 2022-23.

During the meeting the executive members also discussed several issues like Lack of infrastructure for the establishment of new units, issues related to land and power for industrial purpose, free holding rights of land , lack of support from government for the startups.

 Samar Dev Sing Charak Co Chiar PHDCCI proposed the formal vote of thanks. Mr Samar said that PHDCCI is committed to work towards resolving the genuine issues and concerns of the industry and society at large. He thanked Rahul Sahai, Chair PHDCCI Jammu Chapter for showing his faith in him and for joining his team as Co Chair. He urged the membership to get more proactively involved in PHDCCI activities and initiatives and help in evolving a holistic framework for the growth and development of the state.

 

The Executive Committee Meeting was followed up by an Interaction with G Velladurai, Joint Director & Head MSME Jammu, Ministry of MSME, Government of J&K. Welcoming Mr Velladurai, Rahul Sahai Chair PHDCCI said that Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs) constitute a major part of the industrial activity in most of the economies, irrespective of the level of economic development attained. In India MSMEs constitute around 80% of the total number of industrial enterprises and produce a wide variety of products ranging from the very basic to the highly sophisticated products. In J & K a large section of industries belongs to MSME category therefore it is imperative that steps are taken to empower the said sectors.

Mr Velladurai thanked Rahul Sahai for inviting him to interact with the members of Executive Committee Members of PHDCCI Jammu Chapter. He cleared various queries of the members related to Udhyam Registration . He briefed about various schemes available for MSME’s by the Department of MSME Government of India. He spoke in length about the Cluster Development Scheme of MSME. Several questions related to Cluster development scheme were answered by him. Mr Rahul Sahai said that MSME Department has to play vital role in creating awareness about various schemes of MSME available for industries as there is lack of Information. He suggested that PHDCCI and MSME Department can jointly do number of awareness programs for MSME’s. Samar Dev Singh Charak, CO Chair PHDCCI Jammu Chapter presented Vote of Thanks and assured PHDCCI Jammu Chapter’s full support and cooperation to all Government Initiatives for the betterment of industry and society overall.

Others who were present in the meeting were Kuldeep Gupta, Ashish Jain, Raj Dua,  Sanjay Aggarwal, Harbinder Singh President and Ajay Jagotra Secretary General of Tiny & Small Industries Association from Samba and Amarpreet Singh Resident Officer & Head of PHDCCI Jammu
