Kashmir Transport Confederation grieves loss of lives in Rajouri-Poonch accidents; demands Road Safety Audit

Srinagar, Sept 19: All Kashmir Transport Confederation has expressed its profound grief and sorrow over the loss of lives in a tragic road accident in Manjakote Rajouri and Sawjian area of Poonch district where many peoples lost their lives and scores were injured.

The Confederation has also demanded initiation of a comprehensive road safety audit in Jammu & Kashmir to identify the route causes of frequent road accidents and loss of precious lives on a day to day basis.

Transport Confederation Chairman, Mohammad Shafi Mir, in a media statement issued to Ziraat Times, has extended their condolences to the affected families, and prayed for peace to the departed and fortitude to the bereaved to bear the inconsolable loss.

Mir also impressed upon the administration to reach out to the affected with relief. “The administration must ensure the best of medical care to the injured,” Mir said.

Other members of All Kashmir Transport Confederation have also expressed grief over the incident and prayed for swift recovery of all the injured.
