Srinagar, Aug 27: Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir CCIK has hailed SMC Commissioner Athar Amir Khan and Mayor Srinagar Junaid Mattoo for taking developmental works under Smart City Projects.
In a statement to Ziraat Times, CCIK President Tariq Rashid Ghani said beautification and developmental plan for the old city especially Sufi Shrines is a praiseworthy.
Ghani said developmental plans for old city is paramount and needs primary attention which is the charm of the Srinagar as it houses famous historic places and Monuments.
The CCIK also appealed to the administration to also decongest old city and remove all traffic bottle necks.
The CCIK President furthere appreciated SMC Commissioner and Srinagar Mayor for ongoing construction of drainage system in the city.
Ghani said robust drainage system should be built so that there is no water logging during rainy season.
Besides, the CCIK urged for making public transport hassle-free and convenient by setting up perminet and modern bus stops.
He said buses should not be allowed to stop any other place other than the designated stops.
