Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) to open Kashmir chapter; names prominent members

Srinagar, July 18: Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI), a national tourism body, with its headquarters in Mumbai, will soon launch its J&K Chapter in August in Srinagar, a  spokesperson of the J&K Chapter informed Ziraat Times today.

The Chapter, which already has four members from J&K and Ladakh, with Akram Siah as its first member from J&K, besides Zahoor Qari, Fayaz International and GM Kakpori of Caravan Centre from Leh, has already enrolled Nasir Shah, Shamim Shah, Mir Anwar, Phuntchok Wangchuk, Burhan Misgar & Rahil Bashir as new members.

The new members to be inducted include some of the tourism stalwarts, such as Manzoor Pakhtoon, Showkat Pakhtoon, Noor Shangloo, Ibrahim Siah, Ather Narwari, Haseeb Khan, Waseem Gosani, Masood Badyari, Waseem Siah, Yaseen Tuman, Irshad Hazari and Rashid Surma as its new members.

The launch ceremony is scheduled to take place in August, which is expected to be attended by the Secretary & Director Tourism, besides Ajay Prakash, National President of TAFI & its other office bearers.

Soon after, the J&K members will also participate in the Malaysia Convention of TAFI in September, the J&K Chapter spokesperson further said.
